We purchased our first Traeger Lil Tex 2 1/2 years ago. We would haul it from our city home to our mountain home each spring and bring it back to the city in the fall. I would get this grumpy face if we were ready to grill and my Traeger was not where I was. It just wasn't the same. Surprise for me!! I just received the Junior for Mother's Day. Now a Traeger at both houses. Just proves if you pout long enough, you get want you want! I truly do not grill on anything else. Gotta go-need to preheat Junior for pizza!

Well, I was roofing a home for a lady in sacramento ca. in the process her son John came out & gave me a pice of chicken,he went into the house & came back shortly in that time i had devoured the thigh, even eate the bone. The traeger came home, but the wife was p/o ,and said that was a mounths rent, & i would be doing all the cooking. That was eazzy. 10 years later i was telling a lady naimed Beba in a fine restraunt that i wanted to open a traeger store. She told me to just do it. So i did Buck's Traeger BBQ's ROCKLIN CA.

I've only used my Traeger grill twice, but I can confidently say that I will never barbeque with anything other than a Traeger again - they're that good. The taste of the food I've cooked so far has been out of this world, and the convenience is just a step behind propane. I can also say that the Traeger customer service is very good. When I took delivery of my grill the auger motor had somehow come apart in transit. I called the customer service 1-800 number and actually got to speak with a real live person! Traeger shipped me out a new motor overnight no questions asked. I had it before noon the next day.

I was installing a satellite system at a customers home when I noticed his grill. Being a lover of smoked food, I was all ears. I didn't know there was such a thing as a pellet grill. Needless to say, I purchaced a Junior (BBQ055) and haven't cooked on anything else since. Not only is the food great, but the ease of use is amazing.

Our friends Bill & Ell from Odessa, Delaware had purchased a Traeger grill a few years ago and loved it so much they purchased a 2nd one for when they travel. We had a meal with them and it was good, but we hadn't cooked on it ourselves.... Well, yesterday we came thru Dover, Delaware and stopped BBQ Grills, Inc and purchased a Junior - small only because we also want to travel with it.... Today Bill helped us thru our first lighting and getting the chicken on the grill and then we worked thru making it to dinner - corn on the cob, squash - all on the grill. What a great surprise!!!! Easy, delicious and we can't wait to use it again!!!! We are so glad we made this decision...

I actually never tasted food on a Traeger before I bought one. I heard about them 8 years ago and thought the concept was awesome but the $700 price tag was jut too high for me. I researched smokers for about 6 months until my wife finally gave me the go ahead to purchase one. I was about to buy a Bradley Smoker and then found the Junior for half the price of the Lil Tex. I bought one and have been very happy. I've cooked spare ribs, pulled pork, chicken quarters, whole chickens, sausages, Steak, and salmon so far. Everything comes out amazing.

OMG!!!! The food is incredible. I researched all brands of pellet grills and kept coming back to Traeger. The size is just perfect for our family. The price is very affordable. I tell my neighbors and friends I now have a "Traeger Grill."

THIS IS MY 2ND TRAEGER GRILL, MY FIRST IS A TEXAS GRILL WHICH I HAVE HAD FOR 10 YEARS AND REPLACED 1 HOT ROD IS ALL. THE JR IS SO HANDY TO COOK A MEAL FOR MY WIFE AND MYSELF. WE WERE FLOODED OUT OF OUR HOME 2 MONTHS AGO AND BOTH GRILLS HAD WATER UP ABOVE THE AUGER AND FIRE BOX. THE TEXAS, I HAD TO TAKE APART AND CLEAN OUT AUGER. THE JR TOOK A LITTLE CLEANING AND A KICK START, BUT WORK PERFECT, IT'S JUST AMAZNG.

I bought this grill to replace my aged bullet smoker for our 4th of July party. We put it together in around a half hour and I had it seasoned shortly after. The next day (the 4th), I alder smoked a half a salmon on a cedar plank with salmon shake for lunch. It was a huge hit and tasted unbelievable. Right after eating, I quickly changed to Apple pellets and put in 8 whole chickens which smoked up until dinner and were another fantastic meal. Clean-up went very easily. People loved the food and will be talking about it for a while and the grill did all the work!

The Jr. was a Father's Day present for my husband, but I got a gift as well. Out with the charcoal and in with the wood pellets. I can run the grill now myself! It's easy to use and clean up isn't too bad either. We think it's the perfect size for the two of us and even has enough room for meat if there are four of us with room for tin foil potatoes to boot. I wish we had purchased a Traeger years ago.

The Junior is the best grill I've ever owned, and I've owned some of the highly rated grills on the market. Just me and the wife, so the Junior is large enough.........large enough for a 12 lb Turkey.

I just want to share my experience with the Traeger...A friend of mine in the parts business told me about this grill. After looking at the jr. I thought that I needed a bigger one like the Tex. Well, my wife told me that with just 3 of us at home now, that Denny was right on with the jr. He said if I needed more grill that he wood (ha ha) bring over a tex, if I needed more. I cooked a 12 lb turkey, with sweet potatoes, and onions enought for 9 hungry folks and we had leftovers. Don't under-estimate the jr. And the Traeger is second to none.

This thing is awesome. We just took it to the beach and it was a hit. Everyone loved the Traeger-ized grub. Hard to beat brisket while relaxing at the beach. The key is the removable legs. Amazing grill. Pictures here: http://min.fm/lqQ.

My husband brought one of these home and I haven't fired up my gas grill since! Everything we have cooked has been OUTSTANDING! We've even cooked pizzas on it for the wood-smoked flavor. I use some of the recipes from the cookbook and some of my own. I love the rubs and sauces. This grill is the perfect size for the 2 of us.

While at a country fair in the early eighties I was handed a sample piece of BBQ chicken hot off a Traeger grill and the taste was so outstanding I purchased a Traeger right then and there. I remember the serial number was around 200 and the Traeger had red volcanic rocks underneath the grill to catch the drippings. The pellets had to be ignited first by using special starter pieces placed under the pellets......wow, you have come a long way baby! Anyway, my wife bought me a replacement Traeger (the Junior) for my 75th birthday along with the digital thermostat control and the food taste every bit as good as what came off the old Traoger. I can’t believe how the overall ease of operation has improved so much. Love my Traeger! .

the model I selected from the dropdown menu is not correct, I don't know what model this is I purchased my Traeger in 1992/3 I can't tell you how many tons of pellets I have run thru this thing I have at least a dozen friends around the country that became Traeger owners after dining at my house. This grill gets used all 12 months of the year, daily in summer, weekly to bi-monthly in the dead of winter. Montana winters can get a bit rugged and it's impossible to grill a good steak at 30 below With the exception of the burn pot (burned thru about 5 years ago and I fabricated a new one) it has all it's original components

I first came to love this grill personally by Captain Bell's Seafood, Delicious 5 Start Gourmet Food and Steaks during one of Captain Bell's Game Day Denver Bronco Family BBQ Balcony Parties. I was attending this party at Captain Bells, who lives on the 11the floor and owns a Treager Wood Pellet Smoke Grill. Captain Bell loves to BBQ the delicious 5 star steaks for his friends and family. On One Sunday of 2009, Captain Bell started his grill, the air filled with the beautiful smell of the BBQ. But this is just the beginning of the story: The balcony filled with BBQ smoke and the smell of BBQ steaks. Then the Captain gets a knock on the door, (it seems someone thought the building was on fire) it was the firemen and they ask what all the smoke was about. They said that we could not have that type of charcoal or propane BBQ's on the balconies anymore. Captain Bell informed these firemen that it was an electric smoker, as they all walked to the balcony they were amazed. In fact they wanted to know the name brand of the grill so that they could get one for the firehouse. Since Captain Bell did not know where to buy Treager locally here in Denver, the Captain told them to look it up on the internet. You see, Captain Bell bought his grill from out of state in Kansas, by one of his seafood clients on his delivery routes, who just so happen to be a dealer of Treager, they told Captain Bell about this grill and this is the only grill they use to cook Captain Bell's Steaks on. Captain Bell bought a Traeger Wood Pellet Grill and we all eat happly ever after. By Marcus Giavanni

We purchased a Traeger Grill after attending a meeting where the meat was cooked on a Traeger. In fact, there was three grills sold that day to other attendees. The thing I love most is unattended grilling. We cooked a Prime Rib for Thanksgiving and never once opened the lid until we removed it for eating. I'm by no means a cook, but every piece of meat we have done has been cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this product, and the Traeger family spices to anyone! One of the greatest products I have ever owned!

After listening to my friend in Escondido, CA brag for several months about all the great food she cooked on her Lil Tex and how good it was, I decided we would try a Traeger. We love it, meat is so jucie, not a strong smoked taste to the meats we cook and that is a good thing. There is a big adjustment on the temperature come summer time when it can reach as high as 115°++ outside. It takes a bit of adjustment, cooking on the Traeger, I depend mostly on a meat thermometer rather than the top smoker thermometer. The recipes that Traeger posts in their news letters have been a great help.

I cooked two 8lb boston butts on my treager grill for our family x-mas party and they were awsome. We had about 50 people over and they cleaned me out. My wife had also cooked 2 spiral hams in the oven and we ended up with a whole ham left over. Everyone raved about how great the pork was! Last week I cooked another and took to a New Years Eve party and it was a hit. After alot of drinking the boston butt became known as the best smoked ass they had ever eaten! Thanks treager for making such an awsome & simple product!

I borrowed an electric smoker from my brother to do the Thanksgiving day turkey. It turned out wonderfully. So my wonderful wife said for Christmas you should order a smoker, so I did. But after ready a number of reviews my wife suggested that we cancel that order and purchase the Traeger. What an awesome suggestion. We got the Junior and it has performed wonderfully, as I am writing this I am smoking 2 more racks of ribs for my son-in-law's birthday. The only regret I have is I should have gotten a bigger one, because it seems that I am smoking every weekend. The flavor of the meat is just awesome. I can't say enough good about this smoking machine.

My husband actually sells them at Morris Levin & Son in Tulare, CA. We decided since he sells them we should be able to tell people how good they really are. They are AWESOME...we actually got it for my husband but I am the one who loves to use it...we are also looking to buy the thermostat so I can cook on it in the summer so we don't heat up our house (you can use it like an oven)!!! WE TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

We bought our first traeger in the 1st part of April loved it so much that we bought the junior. We didn't get our knife for that one yet. Anyway as you can imagine with all of the different pellets (we have them all) and two traegers we forget what pellets are in which hopper. So we thought that you all outa make some refregiator magnets with the different kinds of pellets on them so that they can be put on the hoppers as to what is in them. Just wanted to share that suggestion with you all. We did mention our idea to the person that we purchased our traegers from. Thank you Musaraca family

Received my Treager Junior on a Tuesday, via Cabela's. The grease bucket was smashed during shipping, no worries, Treager sent a new one right away. On Wednesday, country pork ribs for dinner..OUTSTANDING...so inspired I followed immediately with a 15 hour smoke, beef brisket...when sliced Thursday at noon PERFECT, moist and juicy. Tonight (Fri.) Venison Back Strap, smoke then medium, and INCREDIBLE! Quality craftsmanship, and superb customer service on my minor issue. Junior is perfect size for me. Can't wait to cook again tomorrow!

Not too much to say... My Traeger isn't a grill it's a relationship. We grilled the same pork chops with exactly the same seasoning, at exactly the same time on my Traeger and one of those Smokey Bob things. The tasters were blindfolded and Traeger won hands down. You have to be patient, which my Traeger is teaching me to be, cause I'm not so much. But if you just let her do her thing, all you have to sit back and take the Kudos.

Perfect meat every time, on time. With this grill you can become a great chef over night. It's that easy. You can even cook bacon and never get a flare up. What ever recipies you had for your gas grill, will blow you away on this grill. WARNING your friends will want to hire you for their next cook out or will show up with a chunk of meat and say cook it for me. Right out of the box I cooked a 20 lb. prime rib and it was perfect. I use it every day, in 6 months I've cooked over 400 lbs. of meat with no complaints. I love it

Charcole... not any more!!! Gas.... What was I thinking? OMG I want to make a commercial for this grill.... I was at a Traeger retailer and a demo was going. I could tell right then just by the smell I wanted this grill. It just made sense. From day one it is the best BBQ ever. We do it all. Steak, Chicken, Pork (oh wild hog is the best) I smoke my salmon and the ease of it has me smoking everything now. I have produced so much good food with this grill our friends and family have jumped on board and got their own. I modified the stand to make it easy to take on camping, fishing and hunting trips.

It's just me and my wife so I got the Junior. The man in me wanted the Lil Tex but the Junior has proved to be all we really need. I have made some exceptional Pork Shoulders for Pulled Pork S'amiches, Lamb Burgers, Smoked whole Chicken, and Baby Backs. One thing I've noticed is that the pellet resevoir does not feed as efficient as it should. Even with the resevoir half full, there will be a big whole in the middle of the pellet pile and I have to use my hand to make a mound over the the feeder opening. So, I check the resevoir often to make sure the pellets are feeding. I'm not too happy about that, but the food that I'm turning out kind of makes up for that. Also, there's a definate hot spot just over the fire box, but I guess that's to be expected.

it all started when we "borrowed" this little beauty for Thanksgiving. Smoking a turkey as well as frying a turkey...what a way to go! So we took it home, read the manual and got ready for the big day. After brining the turkey in our vegi crisper, we fired up the smoker at 9am and put that 12lb bird on. It took a while for people to stop lifting the lid, but after a few smacks of the palms, people finally left it alone. Around 2:30 or so, with the smell of maple and turkey wafting through the neighborhood, I decided to take another look. Oh great googly moogly was the sight something to behold! It was perfect! Leg meat was drawing back just slightly. The skin deep brown and sweaty and the firm yet supple breast meat was a perfect push under my fingers. I pulled the beautiful bird off and placed it on the counter under some foil while I went back to assemble the fryer for the next birds. By the time I finished (all of 10 minutes) I found the foil missing as well as some serious nail deep gouges in the meat. "Woman!!" I yelled through the house with a rousing response of lady like giggles from the other room. Inside I found my own mother, wife, neighbors mother and a host of other lovely ladies sitting with hunks of hand torn meat in their hands. It was on! And it was good!

I got my treager as a father's day gift. I wanted the junior because of its size. We spend about 8 months a year in our RV so I figured the junior was the best. Our first outing was to the beach for 4th of July. We had 5 different families in our little compound and the junior gave an outstanding performance for all. My only problem was that both handles came loose (one broke) and the knob on the digital thermometer broke (the Farm Store in Chehalis where we got it replaced that no problem). It has since helped my son-in-law with cooking some 70 lbs of meat for a party ( he has a lil tex). I love the way my treager cooks and I do love the biscuits.
