The Process

  • Convection Process

    An induction fan circulates rich, hardwood smoke throughout the cook chamber for even heat and epic flavor distribution.

  • Hopper

    Load the hopper to the brim with 100% Hardwood for hours of smoking and grilling without reloading.

  • Auger

    It fuels the fire, moving Hardwood from Hopper to Fire Pot—briskly for hot and fast, or gradually for low and slow cooking.

  • Firepot

    A hot rod at the bottom of the Fire Pot ignites the Hardwood, keeping the fire going so you can relax and drink a cold one.

  • Energy Economy

    Powered by a standard, household outlet, it uses 300 watts for the first four minutes and only 50 watts for the rest of the cook.

  • Shut Down Cycle

    This sweet setting keeps the induction fan running for 10 minutes to lift residual ash from the fire pot and shuts off automatically.

Amazing Brisket
I had my Pro Series 22 for less than a week and I attempted to smoke a 10lb brisket for the first time for a family even though folks (including my wife) said brisket was tough to cook.

I used the Chef's Brisket recipe on the Traeger app and it turned out amazing. Although I had some concern once the internal temp got to 160, a friend told me about "the stall". Once I just trusted the recipe, it turned out great! Party turned out great and everyone was impressed.

Best investment for a grill I've made it years. Even though I've only been a Traeger Grill owner for a few short months I've cooked everything from hot Dogs, to steak, to ribs and roast my next adventure may be a turkey!

Well worth the money
I was sceptical at first. I bought the grill mainly for a smoker. My local sales rep said I would never use my gas grill again. He was right! I haven't used anything but the Traeger. I always get rave reviews on my grilling skills but this machine is the best. I can't believe how much better my food taste now.

A. We use mild Steel, plastics and rubber to make components of the grill. Some metal surfaces are powder coated for protection.

Q. Does the Pro Series 22 have a tool caddy that can attach to the front, like the Renegade Elite has? That's a great feature!

A. We don't have a tool Caddy for the Pro, But we do have a bottom shelf and folding front shelf accessories. You can also get a set of magnetic hooks to hold tools on the Traeger.

Q. How are the elements situated in the grilling area? Does the grill allow for simultaneous direct and indirect cooking?

A. inside the grill you will see a grill grate and below that you will see a drip tray designed to catch any drippings and drain them outside the grill to a bucket, below that is a heat baffle that covers the fire pot below where the wood pellets come in contact with a heating element to ignite. The grill uses a fan to blow air past the pellets creating the fire. You will not have access to direct flame. The grill cookes with convection heart, radiant hear from the drip tray and heat baffle and direct heat from the grill grate.
