Southern country comfort in cast iron. Fresh berries mixed with the zest of orange citrus, baked until bubbly under our homemade biscuit topping.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Mixed berries
  • 4 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp raw sugar
  • 4 cups Mixed berries
  • 4 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp raw sugar

Preparation

When ready to cook, start the Traeger on Smoke with the lid open until a fire is established (4-5 minutes).

Set the temperature to 350 degrees and preheat, lid closed for 10-15 minutes.

In a 10 inch baking pan mix in berries 4 tbsp sugar and the orange juice.

In a small bowl mix in flour, baking powder and salt, set aside.

In a separated bowl cream the butter and ½ cup sugar, then add egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually fold in the flour mixture. Spoon batter on top of berries, sprinkle some raw sugar on top.

Bake in the pre-heated Traeger for approximately 35 to 45 minutes. Serve and Enjoy!
