Raise your wood-fired spirits with this cocktail. Pick your whiskey of choice, stir in some grilled lemon juice for an enhanced depth of flavor and give it a smoky finish with just the right touch of smoked simple syrup for a Traeger take on a classic Whiskey Sour.

Ingredients

  • 2 OZ RANSOM WHISKEY
  • 2 LEMONS
  • 0.75 OZ GRILLED LEMON JUICE
  • 0.75 OZ TRAEGER SMOKED SIMPLE SYRUP
  • GLASSWARE: COUPE
  • 2 OZ RANSOM WHISKEY
  • 2 LEMONS
  • 0.75 OZ GRILLED LEMON JUICE
  • 0.75 OZ TRAEGER SMOKED SIMPLE SYRUP
  • GLASSWARE: COUPE

Preparation

When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set Traeger temperature setting to High and allow grill to preheat for 10 to 15 minutes.

For the grilled lemon juice, slice 1 of the lemons in half and place on the grill. For the garnish, take other lemon and slice lemon wheels 1/4" inch thick and place on grill.

Cook for 15 minutes or until the lemons have grill marks on one side. Set the lemon wheels aside. Juice the halved lemon (0.75 oz is about the amount of a half full alcoholic shot glass).

Combine all ingredients in a shaker glass with ice and shake vigorously. Fine strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a grilled lemon wheel. Enjoy!
