When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to High and preheat, lid closed 10-15 minutes.
Toss apple slices in granulated sugar and cinnamon. Place slices directly on the grill grate and cook 20-25 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
In a mixing glass combine whiskey, Traeger Simple Syrup, and fresh lemon juice.
Add ice and shake for 15 seconds to blend flavors. Strain over clean ice and top off with Angry Orchard Cider.
Garnish with a baked apple slice with cinnamon. Enjoy!
