Honey isn't just for baked goods, it is one of the best flavor binders. These Sweet and spicy wings will make a wing-nut out of anyone.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Louisiana-Style Hot Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1-1/2 cups Blue Cheese or Ranch Dressing
  • 2 to 3 cloves Garilc, Minced
  • 1/4 cup Honey

Preparation

Start by segmenting the wings into three pieces, cutting through the joints. Discard the wing tips or save them to make a stock. Lay out the remaining pieces on a rimmed baking sheet lined with nonstick foil or parchment paper.

Season well with the Traeger Pork & Poultry Shake or Sweet Rub on all sides.

Set your Traeger on Smoke with the lid open for 4-5 minutes or until the fire is established. Increase the temperature to 350 degrees F and preheat, for 10-15 minutes, with the lid closed.

Meanwhile, begin making the sauce by melting the butter in a small saucepan. Add the garlic and saut for 2-3 minutes. Add in the honey and the hot sauce and cook for a few minutes, or until the sauce is completely combined. Keep it warm while the wings are cooking.

Cook the wings on the baking sheet in the Traeger for 45-50 minutes or until they are no longer pink at the bone.

Pour the spicy honey-garlic sauce over the wings, turning them with tongs to make sure you coat every side with that tasty sauce. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes to set the sauce on the wings.

Grab some ranch or blue cheese dressing and enjoy!
