Q. I notice that ceramic pizza stones seem to crack in half after 3rd or 4th use and sometimes sooner. Also, some say don't wash. What are your directions for care and use of the Traeger pizza stone? I don't want to spend $60 + on a stone that will break possibly on the first use. What kind of a guarantee does Traeger have regarding the pizza stone should it break during use?

A. We would recommend always placing the pizza stone in the Traeger before you preheat. The main cause of pizza stones cracking is sudden temp changes. You want to slowly bring the stone to temp and let it slowly cool off.
