WOOD-FIRED GRILLING

The Texas 34 takes the Pit Master out of the Dark Ages and into the delicious future with an auger-fed burner, an Elite LED Digital thermostat controller, EZ-drain grease system, and electronic auto start ignition, we’ve harnessed the power of a mighty wood fire with 21st century precision

The Process

  • Convection Process

An induction fan circulates rich, hardwood smoke throughout the cook chamber for even heat and epic flavor distribution.

  • Hopper

Load the hopper to the brim with 100% Hardwood for hours of smoking and grilling without reloading.

  • Auger

It fuels the fire, moving Hardwood from Hopper to Fire Pot—briskly for hot and fast, or gradually for low and slow cooking.

  • Firepot

A hot rod at the bottom of the Fire Pot ignites the Hardwood, keeping the fire going so you can relax and drink a cold one.

  • Energy Economy

Powered by a standard, household outlet, it uses 300 watts for the first four minutes and only 50 watts for the rest of the cook.

  • Shut Down Cycle

This sweet setting keeps the induction fan running for 10 minutes to lift residual ash from the fire pot and shuts off automatically.

Love our Traeger after 6 years
We have the older version of this grill bought at Costco in 2011. Love the grill! We reinforced the legs in the older model ourselves. The food is great and the grill works just like new. I think we replaced the thermostat 2 yrs ago, but it was easy and economical. No other problems. All our friends think we grill the best food they've ever had! Highly suggest the insulating blanket--your grill gets hotter and uses fewer pellets. Maybe the only complaint is the back gets hotter than the front, we have to move the food around to get it all done at the same time.

Amazing
I could never figure out why anyone would pay that much for a smoker. Then a friend cooked me some brisket. Ohhhh wow!!! So I bought one. It was easy to figure out and smoked the most amazing rack of ribs ever!!! Chicken turned out perfect the first time. Still working on my jerky.

You have to get one of these!!!
Go home right now and take whatever BBQ that you have and go put it right next to the garbage can on the street and say goodbye. Then go to Costco and go pick one of these bad boys up (preferably the Texas Elite 34) you will never go back I promise. This thing is FANTASTIC!! It makes you want to use it everyday, easy to use cleanup is a breeze. You'll take care of it like a brand new car. Get the extra grill rack for the top, it just adds that much more space to cook. The folding shelf for the front for space to prepare and the rack down on bottom to store your pellets. You'll spend a little coin doing this but it is SO WORTH IT! One more thing, if you like smoked salmon? OMG!!!

Q. What is the temp of the "Smoke" setting on this grill? Also if I'm cooking in very cold weather (1? today), does the grill automatically compensate somehow? Does it know to feed more pellets to stay up to temp?

A. Smoke = 160-200°F If set on 180 or higher the grill will feed feed pellets until it hits the set temp. If it drops below it will start to feed pellets to get back up to that temp. When it is colder outside the grill will use a slightly more pellets to compensate.

Q. Hi, I just purchased a Texas Elite 34 and was looking to add a front table to it. When I looked at the BAC015 table it said that it was good for all Texas Grills with the exception of the Elite 34. Is there a model folding table that is made for the Texas Elite 34 or am I out of luck trying to add this valuable accessory to my Traeger?

A. We have a brand new shelf for the Elite 34 that can be purchased on our website.
