OMG
I had never heard of Traeger until we visited the Texas State fair. The sales guy was showing us the features and he had me at set the temp and forget it. We purchased it on the spot. I will never own any other grill but a Traeger. Super easy to use. My husband isn't the only one who grills now!

Elite 34-Why did I wait so long.
I have been looking at Traeger grills for quite some time. My wife and I attended the Virginia State Fair on October 5th and saw the Traeger display. We went over and began talking to the sales person and he began to demonstrate the ease of operation of your product. We were very impressed in what we saw. He was able to give us a package deal that was very appealing. We decided on the spot to purchase the Elite 34. It arrived on October 17th and I was like a kid at Christmas. My son stopped by to help with the assembly. I was amazed on the ease of assembly and we completed full assembly in about 30 minutes. The next morning I did the initial seasoning burn in preparing to fix our evening meal. Using my wife's meatloaf recipe, I started on the Smoke setting for about an hour then increased the temperature to 225 and cooked it for about another 45 minutes, pulling it at 165 internal temp. We were both more than satisfied with the outcome. Already planning to prepare baby back ribs this weekend. Couldn't have asked for a better product and have told almost everyone I know about the quality and ease of operation of our new Traeger. Looking forward to many more yeas of quality meals. The only thing missing that would be helpful is an opening in the pellet hopper to take out the remaining pellets for storage.

Q. I just purchased this grill and am concerned that everything I make will have a smoky taste? If I use the gourmet pallets how would that turn out?
Daun Henning
Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
A. You can control the amount of smoke flavor on your food by temperature and cook length. Longer cooks on low temps will produce a smoked taste. Shorter cooks on higher temps will produce more of a wood fired flavor.

Justin

A. On start up the grill will pull about 300 watts and after start up it lowers to below 100 watts.

Q. How do I unpack the grill with one person?
Loyd Ellis
Peoria, Arizona
A. You would just take the top box off set the grill on its back and attach the legs. You might need someone to help you set the grill right side up when you are done though. We recommend offering a friend something off he grill for helping put it together.

Q. I would like to know the easiest way to unload the hopper, so that I can change woods for different meats?
Terico
Thomasville, Georgia
A. With this model the easiest way would be to scoop out the remaining pellets from the hopper or planning ahead and letting the grill use the remaining pellets before switching. Newer models have a door that can be opened to dump out pellets to switch.
