SET IT AND FORGET IT

Traeger grills take the labor-intensive element out achieving delicious wood-fired taste. Just set it and forget it, and let the Traeger do the rest.

The Process

  • Convection Process

An induction fan circulates rich, hardwood smoke throughout the cook chamber for even heat and epic flavor distribution.

  • Hopper

Load the hopper to the brim with 100% Hardwood for hours of smoking and grilling without reloading.

  • Auger

It fuels the fire, moving Hardwood from Hopper to Fire Pot—briskly for hot and fast, or gradually for low and slow cooking.

  • Firepot

A hot rod at the bottom of the Fire Pot ignites the Hardwood, keeping the fire going so you can relax and drink a cold one.

  • Energy Economy

Powered by a standard, household outlet, it uses 300 watts for the first four minutes and only 50 watts for the rest of the cook.

  • Shut Down Cycle

This sweet setting keeps the induction fan running for 10 minutes to lift residual ash from the fire pot and shuts off automatically.

It's together!
Our Fathers Day Pro Select is up and running! This is from a woman that owns a screw driver and a butter knife. Instructions in English, big pictures and hints. It wasn't that stressful, everything is clearly marked..front, left, right etc. Probably just me but when you are putting the handles on the lower door..your screw goes through a thumb size hole into the tiny hole in the front. Well, yours might..mine fell of the screw driver into the door. Twenty minutes later it was retrieved and taped to the screw driver with the very sticky tape found on a lot of pieces. For the rest of you, a magnatized screw driver would be great. Test chicken cooking now..smells amazing,

A lot to love about this grill!!!
The Select Pro (vs the Elite) comes with the newer controller with dual probes. It also includes the extra rack for more grilling space. My last grill was the Texas 34 Elite. I like the fact the grate comes out in (3) pieces so I an put it in a sink to clean. My 34" grate wasn't as easy to clean. The double barrel construction on the lower half should be a bonus this winter - minimizing the amount of pellets. It's a great looking grill and my intentions are to eventually put it into an outdoor kitchen.
Installation - Opened the box and saw all the small parts and thought it would take me hours. Actually only took 45 minutes (by myself). Everything fit together perfectly.
Oh yes, the food - what can I say - Traeger food is the best.

Love my Select Pro
I've owned my Traeger for 4 years and it's still running like the day I got it as a birthday gift from my wife. I cook on it all the time and love it so much I built it into my outdoor kitchen.

Q. How do you change from one wood pellet to another?
Richard
Montpelier, Vermont
A. The best way to change the pellet flavors on this particular model is to scoop them out. A cup or anything similar will do. Then simply fill the hopper back up with the desired pellet flavor.
