Grill
This grill is amazing. I use it all the time for family dinners and events at the house. It works amazingly and always gets the job done. The service was outstanding and I couldn't have bought it without the help of Alan. I love my grill and use it frequently.

The Tailgater is only small in size
Don't make light of this grill. The list the said it holds does not do it justice. I have had two whole pork shoulders on mine (18-20 lb) at a time multiple times and it came out fine. (See Diva Q's Peach Nectar Pulled Pork recipe.) I have done full Briskets many times. Three full racks of ribs at a time without the rib rack adder. Full Salmon Fillets. It feeds 20 people or so if you pick your recipe right. I do like my bigger one better at home but if I have to drag one somewhere this guy gets it done.

The Economics of this unit are extremely good. I used about 1/3 to1/2 bag of pellets on two whole pork shoulders 10-12 hours of smoke and cook time.

Just my thoughts.

Jim

Tailgator
I love the grill, I am having issues with the smoke mode, after a hour or two it will shut down and give a "LEr" code, I guess it's dropping to low of temp. So that stinks, also didn't receive my entire order, would have been nice to get an email stating your order is incomplete and other items will be shipped at a latter date. Have had my grill for about 3 weeks, just got another part of my order last week, still missing 2 items. Not sure when to expect it due to poor communications.

Q. Why do some of your grills have a chimney and others don't?
Bob
Lake Tapps, Washington
A. The Junior, Tailgater and Bronson feature exhaust holes on the back of the grill. The Timberline features a new downdraft exhaust system.

Q. I have a 110V 400 watt Power Inverter in my truck. Will this run off of that?
PAUL WISNIESKI

A. It should do just fine. We recommend a minimum of 400W.

Q. I have a Traeger BBQ/smoker model number bbq055 can anyone tell me how many amps this requires to run? Thanks
Mindy Hooper

A. The grill should pull about 3 amps on start up and move down to 1 amp during cooking.

Q. Since this is a smalller unit, can it smoke a full sized turkey? Brisket? Is there a guide somewhere for this?
Joey
Anaheim, California
A. You can fit a whole packer brisket on the Junior/Tailgater/Bronson but the clearance from the frat to the top of the grill is 7 inches, so if the bird is taller than 7 inches you will need a smaller bird or a bigger grill.

Q. Is there video showing the proper way to to fold the legs on the tailgater? I have a tailgater, and it takes two people to fold it up!
Steveo
Minden, Nevada
A. No, We don't have a video that shows folding the legs on a tailgater. It does take 2 people usually to fold the legs.
