It turns out that s'mores can get even better! For this Traeger take on s'mores we added a banana. You may have had something similar called "banana melts" or "banana boats" but it's all the same yummy-ooey-goodness.
PREP TIME: 2 minutes
COOK TIME: 5 to 10 minutes
RECOMMENDED PELLETS: Cherry or Apple
4 ripe but firm bananas
1/2 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
2 graham cracker sheets or about 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs or Golden Grahams or Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
When you're ready to begin s'mores-ing, start the Traeger on Smoke with the lid open for 4 to 5 minutes or until fire is established. Preheat to 350 degrees F with the lid closed.
Slice banana lengthwise and slightly open. Place on a rectangle of aluminum foil. Insert marshmallows and chocolate chips into the sliced banana, as many as like and as many as you can fit.
Wrap each banana up in foil and cook on the grill for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the chocolate chips are melted and marshmallows are gooey.
Unwrap the bananas and top with a few tablespoons of crushed graham crackers or cereal. After the banana s'mores has slightly cooled grab a spoon and dig in!
