Sweet 'n Spicy Dry Rub Smoked Wings

We've taken it upon ourselves to make it our mission to explore new amazingly succulent and addictive wings. (just in time for football season!) What have we discovered? Two important tricks to bring moisture and flavor: Brining and Smoking your wings. Brining is a sure-fire way to keep those little wings juicy and smoking imbues them with that woodsy, char-grill taste. We finished reeling those wings in to Flavor Town by covering them with a dry rub with our favorite spice profile - sweet and spicy.


PREP TIME: 5 minutes, plus brine overnight
COOK TIME: 1 hour 40 minutes
SERVES: 4 to 6
RECOMMENDED PELLETS: Alder, Apple, Cherry, Hickory, Mesquite or Pecan


For the brine:
4 cups water
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
2 lbs chicken wings

For the dry rub:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon granulated dehydrated onion
1/4 teaspoon ancho or chipotle chile pepper
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Traeger Sweet Rub


Whisk together the brine ingredients in a large bowl or container until the brown sugar and salt has dissolved. Add in the wings, tips removed and cut at the joint into drummettes and flats. Cover and put in the refrigerator and let the wings brine for 24 hours.

In a small bowl mix together the dry rub ingredients.

Take the wings out of the brine and rinse them off and pat dry. Coat the wings with the rub on all sides.

Start your Traeger on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes).

Place the wings on grill grate and smoke for 1 1/2 hours.

Turn the grill up to High and cook the wings for about 3-5 min on each side, or until the wings are golden brown with a little bit of crunch.

When set up on someone else's phone, it's got the capability to document all outgoing and incoming messages. My son use to be a little shy, but after he got his phone he soon started acting very different. We have to face fire-breathing griffins of the soul as a possible enemy, whom we have to out-fight and out-wit to achieve the treasure individuals self-internal-potential in music.

Some real estate agent prefer the option of travelling there first-class by mule. The outdoor spaces are paved with herringboned brick and edged with shiny glazed tiles in deep reds and navy blue. Enjoy your tea whilst overlooking the famous reflected pool and afterwards be sure to look for a hotel or resort.
