Ultimate Traeger Sides: Garlic and Parmesan Roasted Broccoli

Simple broccoli gets the royal treatment in this recipe. Tossed with bright flavors like lemon and garlic, then grilled to the untimate smoky perfection on your Traeger. The best part? Prep time is a breeze and clean-up is ridiculously simple. Just kidding. The best part is the flavor. We recommend tossing with freshly shaved Parmesan cheese right before serving to add a deliciously salty bite to these tasty veggies.


Roasted Broccoli


Prep time: 5 min. + 30 minutes standing time
Cook Time: 10 min.
Serves: 6
Recommended Pellets: Hickory, Oak, Pecan, Alder 


Ingredients
6 cups fresh broccoli, cut into bite sized chunks
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove of garlic, finely minced 
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions 

Place broccoli in a large zip top bag. Combine the lemon juice, oil, garlic, salt and pepper; drizzle over broccoli and toss to coat. Let stand for 30 minutes.

When ready to cook, start your Traeger on Smoke with the lid open for 4-5 minutes until the fire is established. Close the lid, turn the temperature up to 325 degrees fahrenheit and preheat for 10-15 minutes.

Place the broccoli in Traeger's Grilling Basket or on something like the FrogMat to prevent the broccoli from sticking or falling through the grate.

Grill broccoli for 8-10 minutes or until crisp-tender. If desired, garnish with grated Parmesan cheese while still hot.
