Ingredients:
1 (#10 can, about 6 pounds and 10 ounces) baked beans (recommended: Bush's)
8 slice(s) Diced Bacon
1 Finely chopped seeded red bell pepper
1 Finely chopped large Vidalia Onion
1/2 cup(s) peach schnapps
3/4 cup(s) Loosely packed brown sugar
2 cup(s) canned peach pie filling
1/2 cup(s) Traeger Mandarin Glaze barbeque sauce
1 cup(s) merlot wine
2 tablespoon(s) Traeger Sweet Rub
2-1/4 teaspoon(s) Traeger Blackened Saskatchewan
Preperation Steps
Preheat the Traeger to 300 degrees F.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook, stirring, until somewhat crispy and its fat has rendered. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain, leaving the fat in the skillet. Add the pepper and onion to the skillet and cook, stirring, until softened, about 6 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a large baking pan.
Add the bacon, beans, pie filling, peach schnapps, brown sugar, Mandarin glaze, merlot, and rub to the pan. Mix to combine.
bake, uncovered, in the your Traeger until hot and a crust forms on the top, about 2 1/2 hours. Stirring every 1/2 hour to incorporate smoke flavor into your beans.YUMMY!
