WOOD-FIRED GRILLING

Transition from Weenie-Roaster to Master Chef with the Cold Smoker. It's a sidecar smoker made specifically for imparting your favorite ingredients with hardwood smoke flavor. Keep the temp extra low and the smoke rolling to elevate fish, cheeses, and of course, bacon, to a 10 on the flavor scale.

Product Features

  • Adjust the Heat

With an adjustable vent, keep your cold smoker as cool or warm as needed to give each food the right treatment.

  • Sidecar Mount

Put every last wisp of smoke to work with a custom sidecar that easily hooks in place.

  • Dual Grates

This cold-smokin' sidecar comes with two removable, porcelain-coated grill grates--it's flexible like that.

Cold Smoker Fits on Pro 22

Despite the warning that the cold smoker does not fit on the Pro 22 unit, we made this work!

We removed the handle and the two shelf mounting screws located on the Pro 22 unit, covered the openings with gasket tape and the cold smoker unit mounted easily, with less than a 0.25" gap between the cold smoker unit and the Pro 22 unit.

One potential issue we see is that the grease bucket now comes through the draft vent of the cold smoker unit. This could cause a lot of smoke loss when not using the cold smoker and the bucket is attached. Not sure if this is an issue or not.

We have not tested the setup yet, but we are looking forward to a lot of smoked cheddar! :)

Q. Does it fit on the Renegade Elite? You mentioned before that the product should have a chimney. Thanks
Maxime
Canada
A. We would not recommend using this cold smoker with a renegade elite. It is designed for a 22 and 34 inch barrel.

Q. Will the Cold Smoker work with the Eastwood sold at HD? Thanx, PRW
Paul

A. Yes, it will work with the Eastwood. However the handle on the right side of the grill will need to be removed for it to work.

Q. Will this fit the Lone Star Model I purchased on the QVC? It is supposedly similar to the Lil Tex. Thanks
Linda
Enumclaw, Washington
A. This will not fit the Lonestar model. The Lonestar is a unique size and does not match the 22 series.

Q. is it possible to get temperature in cold smoker the same as grill to expand your cooking area?
jason
Toronto, Ohio
A. The only heat the cold smoker attachment received is through the original hole which the chimney cap was attached. So it will be significantly cooler than the grill itself.

Q. does the cold smoker use the drip can that is on grill already?
jason
Toronto, Ohio
A. Yes. The same grease bucket will still work with the cold smoker attached. There is a cut out on the bottom of the cold smoker which allows the bucket to hang.
