Honey Meatloaf Bacon Barbeque Roll

Serves: 8

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 2 piece eggs
  • 1 piece Carrot
  • 2 piece onion
  • 1 lbs bacon
  • 2 cup Sweet Rays Barbeque Sauce or your choice bottled sauce
  • 1/2 cup optional honey or brown sugar as desired for more crunch

Recipe Instructions

  1. Grate carrots and opinions then mix all ingredients except bacon & barbeque sauce and optional honey/brown sugar in mixing bowl
  2. form meat mixture into long loaf shape
  3. braid bacon on flat surface using parchment paper for easy movement once braid is complete.Easier to use chilled bacon while forming braid
  4. wrap loaf with braided bacon and place in long loaf or flat pan.I prefer not to use standard loaf pan as its depth cooks meat sitting in all its grease
  5. cook first 30 minutes as is then cover generously with your sauce and continue to cook. You may want to use optional honey or brown sugar at this time to add some crunch to final product
  6. cook thoroughly.I prefer mine at about 160 degrees for safety reasons
