Serves 2-4

Hardwood Hickory

These patties get seasoned with Traeger Beef Rub, smashed down with a beer can, wrapped with bacon, and stuffed with your toppings of choice. Stuff ‘em good, the messier the better.

Ingredients

2 LB GROUND BEEF

1 tbsp WORCESTERSHIRE

1 Tbsp TRAEGER BEEF RUB

8 SLICES BACON

4 BURGER BUNS

DESIRED TOPPINGS

Preparation

When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to 300 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, season the ground beef with Traeger Beef Rub and Worcestershire sauce. Roll into 1/2 pound balls, then place a beer can in the middle to shape into a bowl. Press beef up the sides of the beer can. Gently remove beer can and season meat with salt and pepper.

Wrap the burger bowl with bacon if desired and fill with your choice of ingredients. Some of our favorites are mac and cheese, pulled pork, BBQ sauce and cheddar, mushrooms and swiss, or cheddar and jalapeños.

Place burgers directly on the grill grate and cook for 60 minutes. In the last five minutes of cooking, top with a slice of cheese and place buns on the grill grate to toast, if desired.

Remove from grill and serve on toasted buns with lettuce and tomato. Enjoy!
