For those once in a blue moon times when you do have leftover brisket, go with everyone’s childhood favorite and whip up a brisket grilled cheese on Texas toast.

Ingredients

4 oz LEFTOVER BRISKET

2 SLICES TEXAS TOAST

2 SLICES AMERICAN CHEESE

1 TBSP BUTTER, ROOM TEMPERATURE

Preparation

When ready to cook, set the temperature to High and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

Place a skillet or griddle directly on the grill grate with the flat side up to preheat.

Butter one side of each piece of bread. Place the buttered side of one piece down on the skillet or griddle, top with one slice of American cheese, the brisket, second slice of cheese, then the other piece of toast buttered side up.

Close the grill lid and let cook for 5-7 minutes. Flip the sandwich and cook for 5 minutes more.

Remove from the grill and slice in half. Enjoy!

*Cook times will vary depending on set and ambient temperatures.
