Hardwood Pecan

Philadelphia may be the city of underdogs, but you’ll be the party favorite with Traeger’s grilled Philly Cheesesteak recipe. Thin-sliced beef, onions, and peppers smothered in melted cheese make for big time flavor.

Ingredients

3 lb Rib-Eye Steak, Sliced Thin

8 slices American Cheese

1 Tbsp Canola Oil

2 Medium Onions, Thinly Sliced

2 Green Pepper, Thinly Sliced

3 Tbsp Traeger Prime Rib Rub

8 hoagie rolls

Preparation

When ready to cook, set the temperature to High and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

Place a cast iron skillet on the Traeger and preheat an additional 15 minutes. Once the skillet is hot, pour in the canola oil and saute the onions and peppers until the onions are translucent.

Add the sliced rib-eye to the skillet, season with prime rib rub and cook for 4-5 minutes.

Slice rolls in half and place on the grill, cut side down for 3-4 minutes or until toasted.

Put a good amount of the steak mixture inside each roll and top with a slice of cheese. Enjoy!

*Cook times will vary depending on set and ambient temperatures.
