Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoon butter, melted

  • 2 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 Teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • As Needed Traeger Prime Rib Rub

  • 2 (16-20 oz) porterhouse steaks, at least 1-1/2 inch thick

Steps

  • 1

When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 225℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.
  • 2

Combine the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce and mustard, whisk until smooth.
  • 3

Brush mixture on both sides of the steaks with a pastry brush. Season the steaks on both sides with Traeger Prime Rib Rub.
  • 4

When grill is to temperature, arrange the steaks on the grill grate and cook for 30 minutes.
  • 5

With tongs, transfer the steaks to a platter and increase the temperature to 500℉
  • 6

When grill reaches 500℉, return the steaks to the grill grate and grill until your desired degree of doneness. 130°F for medium-rare, about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
  • 7

Baste with the butter Worcestershire sauce mixture once more if desired.
