It's thyme you tried this bubbly cocktail. Vodka and club soda are hit with a homemade smoked plum and thyme simple syrup, for flavor you can throw back time and time again. Note: this recipe makes enough syrup for 16 servings. Store extra in the refrigerator for up to one month.

  • 4 Fluid Ounce vodka

  • 1 1/2 Fluid Ounce fresh lemon juice

  • 2 Ounce smoked plum and thyme simple syrup

  • 4 Fluid Ounce club soda

  • 2 Slices smoked plum, for garnish

  • 2 Sprig fresh thyme, for garnish

Plum and Thyme Simple Syrup
  • 8 Sprig thyme

  • 2 Cup Traeger Smoked Simple Syrup

    When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 180℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes. For optimal flavor, use Super Smoke if available.

    Cut plums in half and remove the pit. Place the plum halves directly on the grill grate and smoke for 25 minutes.

    For the Plum and Thyme Simple Syrup: After 25 minutes, remove plums from the grill and cut into quarters. Add plums and thyme sprigs to 1 cup of Traeger Smoked Simple Syrup. Smoke the mixture for 45 minutes. Remove from grill, strain and let cool. Note: this recipe makes enough syrup for 16 servings. Store extra in the refrigerator for up to one month.

    • 2 Cup Traeger Smoked Simple Syrup

    Add vodka, fresh lemon juice and smoked plum and thyme simple syrup to a mixing glass.

    • 1 1/2 Fluid Ounce fresh lemon juice

    • 2 Ounce smoked plum and thyme simple syrup

    Add ice and shake. Strain over clean ice, top off with club soda and garnish with a piece of thyme and slice of smoked plum. Enjoy!
