Hardwood Oak

We’re elevating a classic side dish and infusing it with our signature wood-fired flavor. This BBQ baked beans recipe is simple to make, and features smoky bacon, fresh onions, and bell pepper.

1 lb Bacon, Chopped

1 Yellow Onion, Diced

1 Green Bell Pepper, Diced

4 Cans Pork & Beans

1 Cup Ketchup

2 Tbsp Dry Mustard

1 Tbsp Black Pepper

1/2 Tbsp Kosher Salt

1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder

1/2 Tbsp Onion Powder

Place bacon in a cold saute pan over medium heat. Cook until bacon is crispy and fat is rendered. Strain fat from bacon, reserving 2 Tbsp of bacon fat, and set bacon aside. Place reserved fat back into the saute pan and add onion and pepper.

Saute for 5-10 minutes until onions are translucent and peppers are tender. Remove from heat and set aside.

When ready to cook, set temperature on the Traeger to 350 degrees F and preheat 10-15 minutes.

In a 9”x13” casserole dish combine beans, cooked bacon, onions and peppers, and all remaining ingredients. Stir well to combine.

Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and place directly on the grill grate. Cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened and darkened in color a little. Let rest for 15-20 minutes before serving.

*Cook times will vary depending on set and ambient temperatures.
