Roasted Peanut Butter Wings

These wings make Asian BBQ fusion perfection. Chicken wings are marinated with peanut butter, soy sauce and given a spicy kick with Sriracha, grilled hot and fast over hickory and topped with fresh scallions and peanuts.

Ingredients

3 lbs CHICKEN WINGS

1/4 cup PEANUT BUTTER

2 tsp SRIRACHA

4 tbsp SOY SAUCE

4 tbsp WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE

2 CLOVES GARLIC, MINCED

Preparation

In a small bowl combine peanut butter, Sriracha, soy sauce, Worcestershire, minced garlic and mix well.

Combine wings and half of the marinade in a Ziploc bag and toss to coat. Reserve the remaining marinade. Place in the fridge and marinate 3-4 hours.

When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on smoke with the lid open until fire is established (4-5 minutes). Set the temperature to 350 degrees F and preheat, lid closed for 10-15 minutes.

Place wings directly on the grill grate and cook 35-40 minutes flipping every 5 minutes until internal temperature of the wings registers 165 degrees F.

Remove from grill and serve with reserved marinade to dip. Top with chopped peanuts and scallions if desired. Enjoy!

Different
Toasted/Roasted peanut sauce on the wings makes for a nice flavor and we especially liked how it was a bit crunchy in spots from the peanut butter hardening. After a few wings you also get that hint of spice. I’ll make this again! I cranked my Pro 22 to 375 and they were done in just under 30mins @ 40deg outside temp.
