What's this?

This baby is savory. Smoked turkey, sweet potatoes and cranberries are loaded atop homemade dutch baby batter and baked until perfectly puffy and brown.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup flour

  • 4 eggs, plus 1 egg yolk

  • 3/4 Cup milk

  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon sugar

  • 1/8 Teaspoon Nutmeg

  • 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla

  • 4 Tablespoon unsalted butter

  • As Needed Syrup, Preserves, Fresh Fruits, Confectioner's Sugar, or Cinnamon Sugar

Steps

  • 1

When ready to cook, set temperature to High and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.
  • 2

Place a 10” Dutch oven into the Traeger to preheat with the grill.
  • 3

In a food processor or a regular bowl and a hand whisk, combine flour, eggs, milk, sugar, nutmeg, and vanilla. Blend until smooth.
  • 4

Place butter in the heated Dutch oven to melt. As soon as the butter has melted (watch it so it does not burn), add the batter to the pan.
  • 5

Bake on the Traeger for 20 minutes or until the pancake is puffed and golden.
  • 6

Lower grill temperature to 300℉ and bake for 5 minutes longer. Remove pancake from the grill, cut into wedges.
  • 7

Top with syrup, preserves, fresh fruit, powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar and serve immediately. Enjoy!
