After your early morning turkey trot, reward yourself with an extra wide slice of this smooth & spiced homemade pumpkin pie. Pie isn’t only for dessert.

Ingredients

4 oz. Cream Cheese, Room Temperature

1 (15 oz.) can Pumpkin Puree

1/3 cup Heavy Whipped Cream

1/2 cup Brown Sugar, Firmly Packed

1 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice

3 Large Eggs

1 (9 inch) Frozen, Pie Crust Shell, Kept in Foil Pie Tin

for serving Whip Cream

Preparation

When ready to cook, start the Traeger on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to 325F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.

Mix cream cheese, puree, milk, sugar, and spice. One at a time, incorporate an egg to mixture. Pour mixture into pie shell.

Bake for 50 minutes, edges should be golden and pie should be firm around edges with slight movement in middle. Let cool before whip cream is applied.

What an amazing recipe! I am thankful that traeger is so quick responding to comments on social media. I had made this, and was not happy with the results. I know what I did wrong, and am writing to help out if needed.
Firstly, make sure your cream cheese is room temp. Leave it out 5 hours. Whip the cream cheese! From a great recommendation, I did this, then I creamed the cream cheese, like you would butter. Slowly added the brown sugar to the whipped cream cheese, gradually speeding up your mixer. I added the puree, the milk, and then the eggs, but leave them in warm water for 10 minutes before use. I followed the rest, and made some magic! It was a hit.
