Does it well!
What it is designed to do, it does well. It’s not a high temp grill
but is a good wood fired convection oven. I’ve done chicken halves, potatoes, pineapple upside down cake in cast iron skillet, London Broil, smoked burgers, pizza. Doing rye bread today and turkey hindquarters tomorrow. Taking on pulled pork next week. It’s great to use as an oven when it’s too hot to heat up the house.

We picked this one because it had pro controller, was small, and sturdier than the Junior...just right for 2 people who occasionally have 4-6 for dinner.

Why’d I wait.
after 3 years of talking about it, finally bought a Lil Tex. Finally did it after years of wood smoking and spending hours tending to the fire. Not anymore. Takes me longer to find a recipe than it does to cook it! Have had one instance of the fire cutting out , but easily fixed, and the final product not impacted. Done ribs , chicken and potatoes. Pork butt and brisket next. Go get you one. You won’t regret it.
