Our new Scout
We bought the Scout to use with our Motorhome so we could enjoy the Traeger on the road like ours at home. We decided to try it at home before we took it camping and found it easy to use. We seasoned it, then cooked on it that evening. We put a sockeye salmon filet on the grill and it cooked perfectly following the instructions in the new cookbook provided. We have since cooked a flatbread pizza, chicken wings, and filet mignon on it - all turning out perfectly. It heats up nice and cleans up easily. We clean it up before every use including vacuuming the ash out. The cover is a great addition- as it comes with good carrying handles making it easier to transport.

On the Road
I just bought one of these for my motorhome. I have been cooking on a Trager at home for about a year. I decided to try my new portable one before I used it on the road. I have cooked ribs and chicken and Lamb on it. It cooks the same as the bigger Trager at home. I am looking forward to the trips in the motorhome. I recommend this for anyone traveling or for that matter it would be perfect for a apartment. It is pretty heavy to lug around but just set it up on a sturdy table and enjoy !

Scout Grill first impressions
I have had my grill for 2 weeks now and cooked on it twice. Hard to beat a Traeger! I love the concept...But I thought I'd give you some info and compare function to a bigger 34"Traeger ...
The grill is a little heavy to be portable, but can be moved, just wouldn't want to carry for a long distance. It heats up much quicker than a big grill. The temperature fluctuates a little more than a big grill. The cooking area has size limits but what I expected for a potable pellet cooker!
The only negative is I seem to get some pellet ash in cooking area while cooking, not horrible but more than big grill.
