Easy for a
I never spent a lot of money on grills before, so this was the first time I went for it.

The instructions, ease of putting the grill together and initial burnout was seamless. It took a lot less time than I thought and I'm all thumbs with assembling things. LOL

Fired it up and grilled thick N. Y. strip steaks with a Brazilian marinade using cherry pellets. The grill worked to perfection. Happy wife, happy life!

Cleanup was easy using their cleaner. I recommend buying their grease pan foil covers and grease pan liners.

The grease pan is a tight fit and takes some maneuvering to install

Check out the cookbook that comes with the grill. Nice touch!

Awesome grill!

Glad I finally bought one.
I had been looking at this grill at work for quite some time and finally decided to get one. I did not know much about smoking but it was always something I have wanted to get into. After attending a Traeger shop class, I tried some of the recipes and they have turned out great. I cannot wait to cook more on my new grill.

You really dont need a bigger grill!!!!!!!
So I decided to see what the hype was all about. I have a gas grill and am not pleased with it at all. And, it is on my covered 2 story porch with no stairs so it wasn't the safest thing to do with no means of pulling it away from my house if it started to flare up. I went and bought the tailgater to try it out. Mainly for safety reasons. Should have bought one a long time ago. Ran 2 bags of pellets in the first week and a half. Love it. I have cooked 4 chickens, 3 racks of ribs, 28 chicken wings, 1/2 bushel of smoked oysters in the half shell and 8 burgers. So far, it is the best little grill you could ask for. I was worried about, getting tired of eating everything with a smoky, heartburn, indigestion flavor. This is not the case. Smoke is subtle and it's so easy to operate. No screwing around with bricketts and regulating dampers for the right temp. I may go back and buy a bigger one but only for 2 little reasons. The tailgater is a touch too low and the pellet hopper needs to be 10 lbs instead of 8. But for the name "Tailgater" I understand why it is what it is.
