Err/Er1/Er2

Did you get an Err, Er1 or an Er2 on your AC Grill? Let's help you understand why they happened and how to resolve them.

Err and Er1

Cause

The reason you're getting an Err or an Er1 message is because there is a bad connection, or a complete disconnect, between the RTD probe and the control panel.

Resolution

Ensure that the connections look good. Check the RTD connection by following these steps:

  1. Unplug the grill and remove the two Phillips head screws holding the controller in place.
  2. Loosen the flathead brackets holding the RTD wires in the green box.

Ensure that the connections look good. Check the RTD connection by following these steps:

  1. Unplug the grill and remove the two Phillips head screws holding the controller in place.
  2. Loosen the flathead brackets holding the RTD wires in the green box.
  3. Completely disconnect the RTD wires from the green housing box. The screws do not need to be fully removed.
  4. Reconnect the RTD wires by tightening the flathead brackets. There is no specific order or direction the wires need to be inserted.
  5. Place the controller back in place and screw in the two Phillips head screws you removed earlier. Plug the grill back in and turn the grill on to see if the code still appears.
  6. If the Err or Er1 codes still appear on the controller, please call Customer Service at 1-800-TRAEGER.

ER2
