When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to 325 degrees F and preheat, lid closed for 10-15 minutes.
Toss lemon wheels with granulated sugar to coat on both sides. Place wheels directly on the grill grate and cook for 15 minutes on each side or until grill marks form.
Add rye, bourbon, lemon juice, Traeger simple syrup and fernet branca to a shaker and shake until slightly diluted (about 10-15 seconds).
Pour into a fresh glass, served neat and garnished with a lemon wheel. Enjoy!
