Our shrimp skewers have an irresistible sweet heat, so throw another shrimp on the barbie, mate.

Ingredients

Spicy Shrimp Skewers:

  • 32 medium Shrimp, Peeled, and Deveined

Breading:

  • 1/2 cup; 3/4 cup All-Purpose Flour, Divided Use
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp. Sriracha
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp. Coarse Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper, Freshly Ground
  • 1/2 tsp. Sage, Ground
  • 1/4 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Dried Basil

Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup Mayo
  • 1/3 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 4 Tbsp. Sriracha
  • 1 tsp. Seasoned Rice with Wine Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1/2 tsp. Fish Sauce

Spicy Shrimp Skewers:

  • 32 medium Shrimp, Peeled, and Deveined

  • 1/2 cup; 3/4 cup All-Purpose Flour, Divided Use
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Milk

  • 1 tsp. Coarse Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper, Freshly Ground
  • 1/2 tsp. Sage, Ground
  • 1/4 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Dried Basil

Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup Mayo
  • 1/3 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 4 Tbsp. Sriracha
  • 1 tsp. Seasoned Rice with Wine Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1/2 tsp. Fish Sauce

Preparation

Whisk together the beaten eggs, milk and a squirt or two of sriracha. In a shallow bowl, place 1/2 cup flour. In a separate bowl, whisk together the 3/4 cup flour, panko, salt, pepper and all the spices.

In a small bowl whisk the sauce ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate.

When ready to cook, start the Traeger on Smoke with lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set temperature to 450 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.

Skewer the shrimp onto Traeger skewers, about 4 shrimp per skewer.

Place the skewers on the grill grate and cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side or until the shrimp is pink and the breading is golden.

After the shrimp are cooked, spoon the sauce over the top and serve with steamed rice, garnished with chopped green onions. Enjoy!
