Let that thick cut of fresh bison shine with this simple smoked bison steak recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1, 1-1/2" thick Bone-in Buffalo Rib-Eye Steak
  • 2 Tbsp. Jacobsen Salt
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp. Black Pepper, freshly ground
  • 1, 1-1/2" thick Bone-in Buffalo Rib-Eye Steak
  • 2 Tbsp. Jacobsen Salt
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp. Black Pepper, freshly ground

Preparation

When ready to cook, start the Traeger on Smoke with the lid open until a fire is established (4-5 minutes). Turn temperature to 450 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.

Combine salt and pepper and evenly coat steak with seasoning. Place steak directly on grill grate.

Grill for 6 minutes on one side, then flip steak and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees for medium rare, 145 for medium. Enjoy!
