Capture the spirit of outdoor cooking with 21st century precision, the Lil’ Tex 22 has an electronic auto start, an EZ-drain grease system, an Elite LED Digital thermostat controller, and an auger-fed burner. These cutting edge features make grilling simple—you’ll master the pit in no time.

The Process

  • Convection Process

An induction fan circulates rich, hardwood smoke throughout the cook chamber for even heat and epic flavor distribution.

  • Hopper

Load the hopper to the brim with 100% Hardwood for hours of smoking and grilling without reloading.

  • Auger

It fuels the fire, moving Hardwood from Hopper to Fire Pot—briskly for hot and fast, or gradually for low and slow cooking.

  • Firepot

A hot rod at the bottom of the Fire Pot ignites the Hardwood, keeping the fire going so you can relax and drink a cold one.

  • Energy Economy

Powered by a standard, household outlet, it uses 300 watts for the first four minutes and only 50 watts for the rest of the cook.

  • Shut Down Cycle

This sweet setting keeps the induction fan running for 10 minutes to lift residual ash from the fire pot and shuts off automatically.

My Best Smoker Ever!!!!
I bought my Lil Tex in 2012. It came with an analog controller. All I have done is add an Ortech T100 controller so I could have digital. I am an older dude. Been running a smoker a long time now. This is by far the best smoker/grill, I have ever owned. I can't recommend it enough. If you can follow directions, this smoker is worry free. My controller maintains the temperatures I set it on too. I have never had it act up during a smoke. No flare ups, no shut downs nothing. I vacuum it after every third smoke. If you want a smoker get a Traeger.

Good bye Charcoal grill
I was looking for something new and I found it, The LiL' TEX ELITE GRILL 22 this grill is the right size for me cooked on it for the first time 4-8-2017 and it did the job I really enjoy the flavor of the meat and how juicy it was and the part were you just set the temp close the door and walk away you don't have to stand there and watch what your cooking Just follow the instructions from the cookbook and let the grill do it's thing I wished I would have gotten one sooner. Happy grilling, smoking or cooking.

The Temperature Control setting to me is not that accurate according to the temperature probe that was placed inside the grill (just saying). I'm just now learning
Good Job Traeger.

LilTex Elite
When I first got the grill, it had a feeding problem. I called the service department and they told me to pull the little sticker and stick a small Allen wrench in the hole and make an adjustment. That's been about three years ago and I've used the thing about four times a week since. I cooked kielbasa and chicken legs for lunch and have baked beans for dinner on it now. I have a good recipe for jerky and it does a great job on that also. It makes you look like a pro on ribs, I use the 3-2-1 method, simple and good eating. A couple months after I bought this, my neighbor across the street bought two of the small basic grills. He uses his regularly also. It does such a good job on cooking, that you look forward to using it. I can mess with my motorcycles and listen to the radio and not have to worry about what it is doing. I couldn't ask for anything more.
