SET IT AND FORGET IT

Traeger grills take the labor-intensive element out achieving delicious wood-fired taste. Just set it and forget it, and let the Traeger do the rest.

The Process

  • Convection Process

An induction fan circulates rich, hardwood smoke throughout the cook chamber for even heat and epic flavor distribution.

  • Hopper

Load the hopper to the brim with 100% Hardwood for hours of smoking and grilling without reloading.

  • Auger

It fuels the fire, moving Hardwood from Hopper to Fire Pot—briskly for hot and fast, or gradually for low and slow cooking.

  • Firepot

A hot rod at the bottom of the Fire Pot ignites the Hardwood, keeping the fire going so you can relax and drink a cold one.

  • Energy Economy

Powered by a standard, household outlet, it uses 300 watts for the first four minutes and only 50 watts for the rest of the cook.

  • Shut Down Cycle

This sweet setting keeps the induction fan running for 10 minutes to lift residual ash from the fire pot and shuts off automatically.

We went to Costco for Dog food! Came home with a Traeger!
The guy at Costco saw me coming a mile away! I had been looking at smokers for the better part of a year or more so I kind of knew what I wanted. I was looking at Green Mountain and Traeger Grills.

So I am not calling this an impulse purchase, when I heard about all the cool things it could do non 'beef' related I was sold. We have had it for just over a week now and have gone through a 33lb bag of pellets, I picked up 2 more bags last night and love the food that comes off this Grill it is amazing, even a baked potato tastes so much better in the Traeger, we had salmon the other night best salmon I have ever had!

Great grill
Very happy with new 34 series grill. My first batch of ribs were as tasty as I had hoped. Beer can chix up next. Only disappointment is I'm still waiting on the grill cover I ordered with the grill. I've had the grill for a couple weeks now and have heard nothing about the cover??

Great experience
Coming from a natural gas grill and the simplicity of turning it on and grilling away I was skeptical as to how simple the traeger experience would be...it has far surpassed my expectations. Especially because it makes managing the grilling process easier. I don't really have to manage the meat as much during the cooking process. I don't have flare ups to worry about and I'm much less likely to burn the meat on the traeger. Plus everything has been juicy and flavorful. I'm converted!

Q. Can I get a good sear on steaks with the 2016 pro series? Will the smoke flavor be overpowering while grilling (not smoking)?
Joe
Bentonville, Arkansas
A. Yes, You can get a great sear. You can control how intense the smoke flavor is. When you use higher temps there is less smoke. lower temps will provide more smoke flavor.

Q. I have an older Texas Traeger grill. Will the Pro Series Grill re-ignite the hot rod in case of a flame out (the temperature falls below a certain point)? If so, is the controller available for purchase?
Daniel
North Richland Hills, Texas
A. Yes it will. When the the new controller is on the Smoke or 180 settings the hot rod will turn on if the grill temperature drifts below 130F and will turn off again after the grill temperature is above 130F. This controller is available for purchase. (Part Number BAC365).
