Let that thick cut of fresh bison shine with this simple smoked bison steak recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 Whole Thick Bone-in Buffalo Rib-eye Steak

  • 2 Teaspoon Jacobsen Salt Co. Cherrywood Smoked Salt

  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon black pepper

    When ready to cook, start temperature to 450 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.

    Combine salt and pepper and evenly coat steak with seasoning. Place steak directly on grill grate.

    Grill for 6 minutes on one side, then flip steak and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees for medium rare, 145 for medium. Enjoy!
