What's this?

Everything’s better with bacon, and that goes for your Holiday appetizers. This unique and easy-to-make BBQ Bacon Bites recipe will become a tradition in no time.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup brown sugar

  • 1 Tablespoon Fennel, ground

  • 2 Teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1 Teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1 Pound Pork Belly, diced

Steps

  • 1

Fold a 12" x 36" piece of aluminum foil in half and crimp the edges so there is a rim. Using a fork, poke holes in the bottom of the foil. This way some of the bacon fat will be rendered out and the bacon bites will crisp.
  • 2

When ready to cook, set the temperature to 350°F and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.
  • 3

In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground fennel, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  • 4

Place the diced pork belly into the mixture and toss until well-coated. Transfer the pork pieces to the foil.
  • 5

Place on the grill and bake until the pieces are crispy, glazed, and bubbly, about 20-30 minutes. Enjoy!
