When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to 375 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.
Season chicken with chicken rub and place on grill meat side up. Cook 1 hour or until internal temperature has reached 160 degrees F in the breast and 175 degrees F in the leg. Baste each chicken half with a bit of the Apricot BBQ glaze and return to grill for 10 minutes.
Remove chicken from the grill and allow to rest 5-10 minutes. Portion each half by removing the leg and cutting each breast in half leaving you with four legs and 8 breast pieces. Serve with your favorite vegetables or sides. Enjoy!
